What is ROI? Return on Investment (ROI) is a measure of the profitability of an investment. It is calculated as a ratio of the benefit or return gained from an investment relative to the cost of the investment. Traditionally, ROI is used to assess the financial performance of an investment and is expressed as a percentage.

Why this approach? Traditional estimation techniques for coaching ROI are often impractical and cumbersome. This methodology introduces formulas based on research by behavioral and organizational scientists, which estimate ROI through a simple survey completed by the coachee or another key stakeholder at the end of the coaching engagement.
